As a dedicated fan who has followed NCIS since its inception, I can hardly contain my excitement for Season 22! Wilmer Valderrama‘s recent updates have only fueled my anticipation. The promise of an emotionally driven narrative, with a sprinkle of humor and potential danger, sounds like a perfect recipe for another gripping season.
Anticipation runs high among fans for NCIS Season 22, and actor Wilmer Valderrama has shared exciting insights into the storyline. Not only does he affirm his continued presence in the series as Nick Torres, but he also tantalizes viewers with hints about what lies ahead in the forthcoming season.
NCIS Season 22 will be ’emotionally driven,’ says Wilmer Valderrama
Previously, there was much anticipation among fans about Katrina Law potentially reprising her role as Jessica Knight in NCIS’s upcoming Season 22. Although pictures of her with the cast were later published, confirming her presence, spectators remain uncertain regarding the participation of other team members after the Season 21 finale, sparking ongoing discussions among fans.
Just the other day, while chatting up with The Hollywood Reporter during my memoir’s promotion (American Story: Everyone’s Invited), I shared a bit about NCIS Season 22. Fans have been asking and wondering about our favorite series, so here’s an update straight from me, your fellow gamer and TV enthusiast:
It’s my belief that the enthusiasm of NCIS fans never wanes. To put it another way, their dedication is unwavering. In essence, the writers have made an indispensable contribution to the show in season 22, as we delve deeper into the personal narratives and journeys of our characters.
Valderrama continued to describe Season 22’s narrative and character development saying:
This coming season promises a touch of humor, an increased emphasis on emotional depth for our main characters, and possibly even some life-threatening situations.
When THR’s representative asked whether Nick Torres would return in Season 22, Valderrama added:
“Yeah, no. I’m OK. I’m in the season.”
In the upcoming Season 22, viewers can expect Jessica Knight, portrayed by Law, to relocate to California following a job offer from the finale of Season 21. This departure will lead to significant changes within the team as Sean Murray’s character, McGee, is planning to apply for the deputy director position. Additionally, Torres, played by Valderrama, may find himself handling more undercover assignments.
New episodes of NCIS Season 22 will premiere on CBS on Monday, October 17 at 8 PM ET.
