According to The Hollywood Reporter, it appears that the DC Studios’ Lanterns series will need to look for a new actor to portray Hal Jordan, as Josh Brolin has declined the chance to play the character.
According to recent reports, THR mentioned that Brolin could potentially take on the role of Hal Jordan, who is a popular character from the Green Lantern comics. Typically, Jordan serves as the primary Green Lantern in DC Comics and related media.
The report states that Brolin was given the chance to play the role back in August, yet declined for reasons not disclosed. As of now, there’s no word on who DC Studios might approach instead. However, it’s been debunked that Matthew McConaughey could potentially be under consideration, according to THR.

The television show titled “Lanterns” will be overseen by Chris Mundy (known for True Detective: Night Country and Ozark), along with Damon Lindelof (recognized from The Leftovers and Watchmen) and Tom King (famous for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow).
