Happy Gilmore 2 Adds Bad Bunny to Cast of Adam Sandler Sequel

As a fan who has grown up watching comedies and sports movies, I am absolutely thrilled to see Bad Bunny joining the cast of Happy Gilmore 2! With his diverse acting background from F9, Bullet Train, Cassandro, and even an upcoming role in David Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, it’s clear that he is no stranger to bringing energy and charisma to any project he takes on.

Bad Bunny has joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2.

The upcoming movie, titled Happy Gilmore 2, serves as a follow-up to the 1996 comedy film originally helmed by Dennis Dugan. In this fresh Netflix production, Adam Sandler will be returning to his iconic character, while Kyle Newacheck steps up to take on directorial duties.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, artist Benito Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, has been added to the cast for the upcoming sequel of Happy Gilmore. At this point, it remains unknown what character he will portray in the film.

In 2021, Bad Bunny made a cameo in F9, and later secured a more substantial role in Bullet Train (directed by David Leitch) in 2022. He continued to act in Cassandro in 2023, and was recently announced as part of the cast for David Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, though no release date has been set yet. Originally slated to play the lead in El Muerto, a film within Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, that project was withdrawn from Sony’s 2023 schedule.
