The case surrounding Darshan Thoogudeepa’s alleged role in Renuka Swamy’s murder has left everyone stunned. In a recent development, the imprisoned Kannada actor has confessed to viciously attacking the victim, an act that ultimately resulted in his demise.

According to CNN News 18, Darshan confessed to the police in a detailed statement that he and his associates viciously assaulted Renuka Swamy and caused him severe pain which ultimately resulted in his death. Darshan disclosed striking the victim with his fists and a wooden stick on his neck, head, and chest.

He further mentioned provoking Pavithra Gowda to also assault Renuka Swamy with her slipper.

According to the statement in the charge sheet, Darshan said that Renukaswamy looked exhausted when he encountered him, suggesting he may have been attacked before. He then admitted to kicking Renukaswamy near his neck, chest, and head. He also confessed to striking him with his hands and a wooden stick. Furthermore, he requested Pavithra Gowda to strike him with her slipper.

Furthermore, Darshan revealed that one of his associates, named Pradosh, was said to have received a substantial sum of approximately Rs 40 lakhs, supposedly for effectively managing and ensuring the matter remained private.

In additional parts of the accusation document, Darshan has disclosed that it wasn’t him, but rather an associate named Nandish, who had killed Renuka Swamy by strangulation. Meanwhile, another individual referred to as Dhanraj is said to have electrocuted him.

Additionally, the court in Bengaluru extended the judicial detention of Darshan Thoogudeepa until September 12, 2024, on September 9, 2024.
