Prior to moving to Los Angeles, her New York representative managed to arrange an audition for her to play the role of Jean Fordham in a production of August: Osage County at the Arden Theatre Company, directed by Terry Nolen.
In the end, she secured the main character position. At first, she had thoughts about turning down the opportunity, but later realized her keen enthusiasm for it.
At seventeen, she moved to Los Angeles and started working as a waitress at an upscale eatery in Santa Monica. Unfortunately, she didn’t keep the job for long. On top of that, she held a position as a buyer at Wasteland, a vintage retail shop.
She’s been featured on numerous TV series, such as NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Are We There Yet? and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Additionally, she has played characters like Gretchen Doyle in Jennifer Falls, Ford in Chasing Life, and Xanthippe in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
In the year 2016, Dylan Gelula played the lead role in the romantic drama film titled “First Girl I Loved,” which was directed by Kerem Sanga. This movie made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival that same year and was awarded the highest audience honor for Best Of NEXT.
