Oh, the thrill and anticipation that I, as a die-hard Rajinikanth fan, am experiencing right now is simply indescribable! The Vettaiyan Ganpati idols created by fellow fans are not just idols; they are symbols of our collective adoration for Thalaiva.

Known as Thalaiva to his adoring fans, Rajinikanth is an intriguing figure on the big screen, captivating audiences with his magnetic presence. His massive fan base requires no introduction. The excitement for his upcoming film, Vettaiyan, has been building significantly, and now, it appears that his supporters have elevated their anticipation to unprecedented heights by crafting idols modeled after the actor’s appearance in the movie.

On X (previously known as Twitter), a fan page shared photos of Ganpati idols inspired by Vettaiyan, which were made by followers of Rajinikanth. This creative act from the fans is particularly noteworthy given his immense popularity. Additionally, it served as an indication of the high levels of anticipation surrounding Rajinikanth’s upcoming project.

For those not in the know, the movie titled Vettaiyan is due to premiere in cinemas on October 10, 2024. The film’s creators made this announcement via a tweet (previously known as X). Notably, the release date coincides with Suriya’s movie, Kanguva, which was also planned for a release on that same day.

Later on, during the audio launch for Meiyazhagan’s movie, Suriya clarified that his film would not be released on the same day as Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan in order to avoid a box office clash.

He suggested delaying the release of Kanguva and commented, “Superstar Rajinikanth embodies Tamil cinema. Releasing Kanguva alongside Vettaiyan might not be ideal. Consider Kanguva as a child; let’s offer our prayers for the movie; there was tremendous effort put into creating it.

Speaking of Vettaiyan again, its stellar cast hails from various corners of the movie world. Notable names include Amitabh Bachchan, Fahad Fasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, among others.

Under the guidance of director J Gnanavel, this movie chronicles the odyssey of an ex-police officer who takes a stand against the system to right the wrongs inflicted upon him. Notably, it’s Rajinikanth’s return to the cop role, which has held a special place in the hearts of viewers for quite some time.
