As a gamer with a soft spot for nostalgia, hearing about the Twilight animated series Midnight Sun being greenlit by Netflix has me reminiscing about my teenage years spent devouring every bit of Twilight lore. Back then, I was more into leveling up my character in World of Warcraft than reading romance novels, but even I couldn’t resist the allure of Edward and Bella’s forbidden love.
The Twilight animated series Midnight Sun has been given a straight-to-series order from Netflix.
In April 2023, it emerged that Lionsgate Television was working on an animated Twilight series, and this was later confirmed by Michael Burns of Lionsgate in March 2024
According to Variety, Netflix is moving forward with the development of “Midnight Sun,” granting it a direct-to-series production order. However, an official release date hasn’t been announced as of now

In the year 2020, “Midnight Sun” was released as a novel. This book, authored by Stephenie Meyer (known for her other works in the series), provides a fresh perspective on the events from “Twilight”. Instead of Bella Swan’s viewpoint, it is told from Edward Cullen’s point of view
