New Joker Poster Shows Lady Gaga & Joaquin Phoenix in Full Makeup

The fresh poster for “Joker: Folie à Deux” has been released, showcasing Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga dressed to the nines as the Joker and Harley Quinn respectively.

As I gazed at the new poster, it didn’t exactly burst with excessive details, but what it did show was captivating – both characters were decked out in their iconic roles straight out of a comic book. I saw the Joker, played by Phoenix, donning his full outfit from the original movie, while Lady Gaga sported makeup and a shirt that echoed Harley Quinn’s signature diamond-checked pattern, a nod to her looks in other versions.

Before this, his filmography was predominantly in comedy.

The first Joker movie was released in October 2019. It was a massive hit for Warner Bros. It was nominated for numerous Academy Awards, with Phoenix winning Best Actor and Hildur Guðnadóttir winning Best Original Score.

Joker was originally intended to be a stand-alone film; however, Phillips announced in June 2022 that a sequel was officially happening. Joker: Folie á Deux is set in a different continuity than James Gunn and Peter Safran’s forthcoming DCU, which officially kicks off this coming December with an animated Creature Commandos series.

The sequel to Joker, its screenplay, was jointly penned by Phillips and Scott Silver, who were also the writers of the original movie.
