As a long-time League of Legends enthusiast with countless hours spent in the gaming world, I must say that this weekend’s LEC Finals at the Olympic Stadium in Munich was nothing short of electrifying! The scorching heat outside couldn’t dampen the fire ignited by the intense competition inside.


Over the course of this past weekend, the LEC Finals unfolded in Munich, offering thrilling fan events alongside heart-pounding matches that left spectators cheering with elation and anguish. We were fortunate enough to witness all the excitement, not to mention being present for the electrifying games happening at the Olympic Arena in Munich.

Despite the sweltering heat outside, the excitement inside the stadium was fiery and intense. Fortunately, everyone received a complimentary hand-held fan to keep cool during nail-biting tight games.

The LEC Finals – G2 Esports Wins Again

The final event was held on September 1 at the Olympic stadium nestled within the breathtaking Olympic park in Munich. Spectators swarmed to the venue, with a significant number sporting the G2 Esports jerseys in black, white, and red, while their opponents from Fnatic, dressed in black and orange, also had a strong presence throughout the crowd.

In the finals, G2 Esports needed to navigate the challenging lower bracket maze, and their path even led them against MAD Lions KOI on Saturday. However, this didn’t discourage the 2023 LEC Champions in the slightest, as they were ready and primed to face Fnatic.

In front of a packed stadium, the opening match of the LEC playoffs was undeniably the tightest and most prolonged contest of the series. A continuous give-and-take battle unfolded between G2 and Fnatic, as it was evident that both squads were eager for a strong start and triumph over their rivals.

Initially, G2 Esports claimed the first blood in the matchup against Fnatic, securing a victory after a hard-fought battle. From that point on, the series’ outcome was determined. In response, Fnatic retaliated during game 2. They even gained advantages in both game 3 and 4, yet they were unable to seal the deals, resulting in their defeat.

At the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, G2 Esports secured the top position and emerged as champions.

In a remarkable turn of events, Hans Sama, the bot laner for G2 Esports, showcased exceptional skills throughout the series, ultimately earning the title of Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
