As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the nuances of stardom and camaraderie within the film industry, I find Thalapathy Vijay‘s humble act of attending Prabhas’ film screening truly commendable. It is not often that one encounters such genuine admiration and unpretentious fandom, especially among A-listers.
Thalapathy Vijay is widely recognized as one of the most successful and beloved actors within the South Indian film industry, admired not only by audiences and dedicated fans but also by many of his industry peers. For example, this esteemed actor discreetly went to a cinema to watch Prabhas’ movie, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, all on his own.
In a popular video shared on X (previously Twitter), actor Thalapathy Vijay is spotted discreetly enjoying a movie at the Erragadda theater, hiding his identity behind a mask. He politely asked fans who recognized him to remain composed and respect his privacy, as he was there to watch Prabhas’ intense action film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.

Indeed, it’s clear that Thalapathy Vijay not only acts but also enjoys watching movies. He does so without any feeling of rivalry or personal pride towards the fellow actors whose performances he appreciates.
At a later interview with Galatta, actor Vaibhav Reddy shared an interesting story about the time Thalapathy invited him to watch a movie together. Vaibhav revealed that instead of opting for a modern multiplex, Thalapathy chose a regular seat in a crowded old-style cinema hall instead.
Reflecting on his past, Vaibhav shared, “The following day, he expressed his desire to catch Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’. Being an ardent fan, he would opt for a multiplex like Sathyam if I were to suggest a mass film. However, in Hyderabad, there’s a theater that caters to the masses, with tickets priced at a mere Rs 80. The atmosphere in such a venue is unique. Interestingly, his manager arranged tickets for him, not just in the balcony but in seats located even below it.”
In terms of his professional life, Thalapathy Vijay is currently looking forward to the premiere of one of his much-awaited movies, The Greatest Of All Time. This movie, directed by Venkat Prabhu, will likely be one of his last films before he ventures into politics. The GOAT is set for release on September 5, 2024.
