As a seasoned gamer and soap opera enthusiast who’s seen more twists and turns than a rollercoaster ride, I must say, the plot thickens with Steffy’s disappearance in “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Finn’s suspicions, though initially dismissed as paranoia, are starting to look more valid by the day.
It has become apparent to someone that something fishy is going on regarding Steffy’s disappearance, and unsurprisingly, it turns out to be her husband Finn who should have raised suspicion earlier. After all, the Co-CEO hasn’t reached out about his children even once during the days she’s been absent from Los Angeles. His worry intensified in the episode on August 30th when a woman from the clinic Steffy had scheduled an appointment at called to confirm that she hadn’t shown up and didn’t cancel, which raised concerns.
Only after Finn went to Bill’s grand estate did he become absolutely sure something was amiss. It was unexpected, as Li had informed Finn that Luna would be at Bill’s, but it was mostly Luna’s demeanor that left him puzzled. Although it wasn’t explicitly mentioned, it seemed odd to Finn that Luna appeared cheerful despite Poppy being imprisoned and that she intended to enjoy herself with Bill by the pool.
In a peculiar exchange, Luna seemed unconcerned about Finn’s worry for Steffy, assuring him she was alright and then requesting Bill’s assistance to link her phone to the television. This incident, as hinted in previews, will lead Finn to suspect his cousin of involvement in Steffy’s disappearance during the week of Sept. 2. He intends to discuss his suspicions with Li about this matter.
Currently, it seems like a big jump, but maybe things will shift as the plot progresses in future episodes. Luna appears to be careless now, not maintaining her usual facade with RJ. Instead, she reassures him about Bill’s needs. This is a warning sign. Additionally, her cheerful demeanor despite Poppy’s predicament and her acceptance that her mother killed her father are also concerning.
As a gamer, I can see how if Poppy indeed committed the murders, Luna would have to face the truth and not evade it. However, it seems unlikely that such a revelation and its consequences would unfold so swiftly, especially with her appearing cheerful and seemingly coping well amidst it all.
As a devoted fan, I must confess that Luna’s actions lately have left me wondering if I truly know her as well as I thought. She appears to be maintaining this image of the perfect girl, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that her facade is starting to crumble. It won’t be long before those around her start piecing together the puzzle. And from what I can tell, Finn seems poised to take the lead in unraveling the mystery.
