Charli XCX Joins Thriller I Want Your Sex Cast

As a seasoned gamer and music enthusiast with a keen eye for emerging talent, I must say that Charli XCX’s latest move into acting has me intrigued! The singer-songwriter’s versatility continues to astound me, and her decision to join the cast of ‘I Want Your Sex‘ is yet another testament to her fearlessness in exploring new territories.

In the latest development for Charli XCX’s acting journey, it was revealed by Black Bear Productions that she will be part of the cast for their upcoming thriller movie titled “I Want Your Love“.

In this upcoming movie, another renowned actor will be part of a stellar cast that includes Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman, who were previously announced for the project. At present, the specific role Charli XCX will play in the film remains undisclosed, but it marks her ongoing expansion into the realm of Hollywood acting.

In addition to her hit song “I Want Your Sex,” Charlie XCX is set to appear in the upcoming remake of Faces of Death, alongside Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery.

This summer, Charli XCX unveiled her sixth studio album titled “Brat.” Since then, it’s been receiving praise from critics, with its cover art spreading like wildfire online, sparking the “brat summer” craze on social media platforms for several months now.

What else do we know about I Want Your Sex?

The summary for the movie goes like this: “Elliot (Hoffman), a greenhorn, gets a dream job working for the famous, controversial artist Erika Tracy (Wilde). His dreams come true when she chooses him as her muse, but things get complicated. Elliot finds himself in over his head as Erika leads him on an unforeseen journey into a world of sex, obsession, power, deceit, and murder. With its outlandish characters and a dash of humor, I Want Your Sex promises to surprise you, leaving you both shocked and pleased!”

This film was created under the guidance of Gregg Araki, a director known for his previous works such as “The Doom Generation” in 1995, “Nowhere” in 1997, “Splendor” in 1999, and “Smiley Face” in 2007, among others.

As a passionate admirer, I’d like to share that I was part of the team responsible for crafting the script alongside Karley Sciortino. In addition, I had the privilege of producing this movie in collaboration with Sciortino, Seth Caplan, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler. The esteemed trio of John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff served as executive producers for this project.

Black Bear has not yet announced an official release date for I Want Your Sex.
