In 2021, it seemed like Stardew Valley had passed in the distance, and Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone was gearing up for his next intriguing venture, Haunted Chocolatier. Regrettably, there has been no progress on this new project by the developer recently. However, he went back to Stardew Valley to focus on the substantial Update 1.6, which is now available on PC. This necessitates ensuring the update runs smoothly on console and mobile devices as well. Although it’s taking longer than anticipated, ConcernedApe remains committed to completing this task.
This week, ConcernedApe provided an update on both Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier through social media platforms. He indicated that his main focus currently is releasing Update 1.6 for Stardew Valley on console and mobile systems. However, this process has been more challenging than anticipated, causing him to dedicate all of his efforts solely to Stardew Valley and temporarily postpone work on Haunted Chocolatier.
The development of console and mobile versions continues to be in the works. I understand that it has taken longer than expected, but there’s a good reason for the delay. As of now, these versions are yet to be released, and we have been diligently working on them since the PC version 1.6 was launched. In essence, they remain our top priority at this point.
