As a seasoned gamer with years of battlefield under my belt, I must admit that The Finals Season 3 has left me a tad disappointed. But fear not, fellow combatants! The tease of a new weapon in Season 4 by one of the developers has ignited a spark of anticipation within me.
With less than a month to go before the conclusion of Season 3, many fans have found it underwhelming compared to the first two chapters since the game’s debut. Many are eagerly anticipating the end, but luckily, we don’t have long to wait for Season 4. Although Embark is keeping quiet, a developer for The Finals has given a hint that one of their favorite weapons will be introduced in Season 4.
More recently, Embark has launched a fresh community event in conjunction with update 3.11.0. At Gamescom, they also revealed that playtests for their next multiplayer game, Arc Raiders, will soon commence. These playtests are scheduled to begin around late-October, offering an exciting bonus to anticipate before Halloween arrives.
Before the Arc Raiders playtests take place, fans can look forward to The Finals Season 4, jam-packed with fresh additions such as a novel map, innovative gadgets, and an array of guns. Intriguingly, a developer hinted that their preferred weapon will be included in the upcoming new content.
The Finals dev teases new Season 4 weapon
On the Finals Discord, developer Embark Rob was queried about the number of guns coming up in the next season. However, Rob didn’t specify an exact count for new weapons in Season 4, but he did reveal that “one weapon I have ABSOLUTELY loved will finally make its way to THE FINALS”.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the latest update! Rob, who’s known for being a Heavy main, might be getting a new weapon for that class. Given his deep passion for Battlefield, speculation in our Discord server has been rife, with suggestions ranging from the M4, AN-94, and AEK-971. However, we’re still waiting for an official confirmation on this one.
Regarding hints about Season 4, Rob has mentioned before that they aim to reveal at least four songs from the Season 4 soundtrack. Additionally, he has shared a picture suggesting that players might be able to customize their characters with facial hair as a new feature.
Based on the ongoing in-game timer, it appears that The Finals Season 4 is set to premiere on September 25th. Although formal announcements are yet to be made, we can anticipate a sneak peek of S4 at TwitchCon San-Diego on September 20th.
