2025 Golden Globes Host Revealed for the 82nd Annual Award Show

2025 Golden Globes Host Revealed for the 82nd Annual Award Show

As a long-time fan of witty and irreverent comedy, I couldn’t be more excited about Nikki Glaser hosting the 82nd Golden Globe Awards! Her sharp humor and fearless approach to tackling taboo topics make her the perfect choice for this prestigious event.

The host for the 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards has been revealed.

On January 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) or 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT), the 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place. The event will air live on CBS, and for those in the U.S., it can also be streamed on Paramount+.

Who is hosting the 2025 Golden Globe Awards?

Per Variety, comedian Nikki Glaser has been tapped to host the 2025 awards show.

“Glaser expressed great excitement about hosting the Golden Globes. He considers this event one of his favorite nights on television, and he’s looking forward to having a prime view, though it seems he may need to do more than just watch from the audience (he might even have to host from the stage). The Golden Globes is not only significant for TV and film, but also for comedy. It’s one of those rare occasions when show business welcomes gentle teasing (hopefully it does!). It’s an exciting yet demanding task because it’s live, unpredictable, and involves being in the spotlight among Hollywood’s most prominent figures (who might be enjoying a drink while seated next to their latest exes).”

Among my favorite humor pieces are those from previous Golden Globes opening monologues delivered by Tina, Amy, or Ricky. They’ve always managed to say exactly what we didn’t realize we so desperately needed to hear. I hope I can carry on this esteemed tradition (one that might get me in a bit of trouble). This job is truly a dream come true for me. Moreover, I no longer have to feel the slightest hint of guilt over every TV show and movie I’ve binged during the past year. It was all worth it. And by the way, ‘Below Deck: Sailing Yacht’ Season Four should definitely be nominated, right?

Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, commented, “Nikki Glaser is an unstoppable force in comedy, with her fearless and uncensored wit perfectly suited for our awards. She’s certain to deliver a fresh, lively vibe that will captivate viewers throughout the night.”

In the past, Glaser has put out comedy specials like “Good Clean Filth” from 2022 and “Someday You’ll Die” in 2024. Now, he trails Jo Koy, who was the host of the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are set to serve as the executive producers for the awards ceremony, while Dick Clark Productions will be responsible for organizing, hosting, and managing the event itself.
