Their message read, “With profound sadness and shock, Club Nacional announces the demise of our cherished player Juan Izquierdo.” The post extended condolences and shared their sorrow over losing a beloved team member.

As reported by The Guardian, Hospital Albert Einstein revealed that the reason for Izquierdo’s demise was a cardiorespiratory arrest linked to his heart rhythm issue (cardiac arrhythmia). Additionally, they disclosed that the soccer player had been on a respirator since Sunday.
