As an old-timer gamer who’s been traversing the digital cosmos since the days of Destiny 1, I can confidently say that the arrival of Choir of One in Destiny 2 is a game-changer. This bad boy, with its Wyvern-like firing pattern and the ability to craft it at the Enclave, has catapulted me back into the fray with renewed vigor.
In Destiny 2’s Episode: Echoes Act 3, a fresh Exotic Auto Rifle called Choir of One has been introduced. Given that it uses Special ammo, its power is immense. To acquire this weapon, you may need to put in some work and be patient, as the timing for unlocking it could depend on your play schedule.
How to get Choir of One
Choir of One is unlocked by completing the Encore Exotic mission in Destiny 2. If you’re playing during Episode: Echoes, you can play this as soon as you’ve progress through the campaign to Act 3. After speaking with Failsafe, you can launch the mission via the map of the H.E.L.M.
If you’re starting Destiny 2 at a later time, you won’t be able to launch Encore whenever you wish. Instead, it will become available as part of the weekly Exotic mission rotation. Our Exotic Mission Rotator guide can help you determine when it becomes accessible.
Choir of One perks
The benefits of the Choir of One weapon make it one of the strongest Auto Rifles currently available. It delivers a substantial impact due to its firing pattern, which resembles that of a Wyvern. Additionally, you can craft the Choir of One at the Enclave, allowing you to customize it with various barrels, magazines, and more. Here are some of its unique Exotic traits:
- Fanatical Lance: Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid. Hip firing launches multiple projectiles at once in a slower moving spread pattern. Projectiles detonate on impact.
- Command Frame: Fires extended-range, heavy calibre projectiles at a reduced rate of fire. Deals increased precision damage when aiming down sights.
Beyond what’s already mentioned, you can enhance the Choir of One’s structure, specifically the Command Frame, all the way to Command Frame IV. These built-in improvements are accessible by discovering hidden elements within the Encore mission. Each upgrade in the Command Frame enhances the Range, Stability, Handling, and Rate of Fire stats.
1 Way of Simplifying: In Choir of One, you can access three special items called catalysts: Subsistence, Destabilizing Rounds, and Onslaught. You unlock these by finishing the mission “Choir: Eternal”, which is provided to you by Banshee-44 in the Tower.
