As a die-hard fan of Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli, I find myself constantly on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting any news about their upcoming collaboration, SSMB29. The rumors of a connection to the Garuda project had me excitedly speculating for days on end, only to be left slightly disappointed by the clarification that they are separate entities.

The highly anticipated movie of Mahesh Babu, titled SSMB29 and helmed by SS Rajamouli, has sparked excitement among fans with its buzz and conjecture. Previous whispers hinted that SSMB29 could be related to the Garuda project, a topic Rajamouli had talked about before. However, a recent update from Gulte indicates that there is no association between SSMB29 and the Garuda project, effectively putting an end to those speculations.

For quite a while now, the Garuda project has sparked much conversation, as director Rajamouli had earlier shared several concepts related to it. On the other hand, the SSMB29 production is already underway during its planning stage.

Previously this year, director SS Rajamouli journeyed to Japan for a screening of RRR, where he introduced his movie alongside Mahesh Babu to the Japanese public. Rajamouli mentioned they had finished drafting their upcoming film’s script and were in the early stages of preparation, but casting decisions were still pending at that time.

He said, “We finished writing our next film. We’re in the pre-production process for the film. But, we haven’t finished the casting yet. Only the main hero, the protagonist of the film, is locked.”

Director SS Rajamouli officially declared that Mahesh Babu will star as the main character, commending his exceptional skills and physical appeal. Eagerly anticipating a swift production, he plans to unveil Mahesh Babu in Japan following the film’s premiere.

The upcoming movie SSMB29 is rumored to be an action-adventure film that heavily draws from Hindu mythology and could center around legendary motifs much like director Rajamouli’s previous works. It’s speculated that Mahesh Babu will take on a character reminiscent of Lord Hanuman, who is renowned for his power and courage.

The movie could mainly take place within the lush African jungles, offering a colorful setting for the ensuing adventure. It seems that Mahesh Babu’s character will be traversing diverse landscapes and encountering powerful opponents, with rumors suggesting Prithviraj Sukumaran as one of these adversaries. However, it is not yet confirmed that Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially joined the cast. Intriguingly, the script for this film was penned by SS Rajamouli’s father, Vijayendra Prasad.
