Netflix K-drama The Frog: Release date & time
The upcoming South Korean drama series titled “The Frog” is set to debut on Netflix starting from August 23, 2024 (Friday), at 4:00 p.m. in Korea Standard Time (KST) which is equivalent to 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET). The series will be split into eight episodes and it’s expected that all of them will be released on the streaming platform simultaneously.
Lately, lead actress Go Min-Si has shared insights on her upcoming psychological thriller series. At a press gathering, she expressed, “I landed the part following two discussions. Just reading the script gave me chills; it made my body feel icy. The plot’s progression and the connections among the characters were so captivating that I became completely engrossed. Most importantly, it was a privilege to collaborate with such esteemed veterans and the director.”
The Frog K-drama on Netflix: Cast & plot
In the popular Netflix series “The Frog,” which is a Korean drama, the main characters are played by actors such as Go Min-Si, Kim Yoon-Seok, Yoon Kye-Sang, and Lee Jung-Eun.
Actress Go Min-Si takes on the intriguing character of Yoo Seong-Ha for the first time, delving into a more complex and dangerous role. In discussing her portrayal, she shares, “I aimed to make Seong-Ha more than a one-dimensional character. Throughout the storyline, I pondered about her hidden depths and motivations that fuel her actions. I put in great effort to bring my unique interpretation of Yoo Seong-Ha to life.”
Min-Si has been featured in various series and dramas before, including Sweet Home across all its seasons, Jinny’s Kitchen 2, Love Alarm, The Witch Part 1, as well as Running Man.
Moreover, Kim Yoon-Seok assumes the role of Jeon Yeong-Ha, the owner of a secluded vacation lodge in the woods. However, his tranquil existence is disrupted when enigmatic guest Seong-Ha arrives at the cottage. Notably, this seasoned actor frequently takes on the dual roles of screenwriter and director.
Kim Yoon-Seok is the writer of the 2013 movie “South Bound” and the director of the 2019 film “Another Child.” His collection of dramas includes “Love Me When You Can,” “Thank You Life,” “Resurrection,” and “Loveholic.” Additionally, he has played roles in numerous films, including “The Chaser,” “Escape from Mogadishu,” and “Tazza 2.”

In “The Frog,” we find Yoon Kye-Sang portraying the character of Koo Sang-Jun. Previously, Sang-Jun managed a guesthouse and resided there with his family for around two decades. However, a specific event caused Sang-Jun to lose everything during one hot summer season.
I’ve had a rich career as an actor, working on some truly remarkable projects throughout my journey. Currently, Lee Jung-Eun stars as police officer Yoon Bo-Min in a new Netflix K-drama. Twenty years prior, she was involved in the case of Sang-Jun as a police officer. Recently, she has been assigned to the same police station as the chief. A seasoned actress in the South Korean drama scene, Jung-Eun is known for her roles in productions like Parasite (2019), where she played a supporting character, and others such as Miss Night and Day, Daily Dose of Sunshine, Behind Your Touch, and Our Blues.
