The Boys Season 5: Erin Moriarity Shares Her Hopes for Starlight Killing Members of The Seven

As a dedicated fan who has followed Starlight’s journey since the very beginning, I can’t help but share my excitement for Erin Moriarty’s hopes for her character in The Boys Season 5. The actress’s candid desire to see Starlight confront and possibly eliminate some of the members of The Seven, particularly Homelander or The Deep, resonates deeply with me.

Actress Erin Moriarty, who plays a key role in “The Boys,” expresses optimism that her character Starlight might have the opportunity to eliminate at least one member of The Seven during the forthcoming final season of the Amazon Prime superhero series. Moriarty has revealed her desire for her character to engage in confrontations with two specific antagonists.

What did Erin Moriarty say about The Boys Season 5?

During a recent interview, Moriarty openly expressed her hope that Starlight would either eliminate Homelander or, as a minimum, take out The Deep. She stated: ” frankly, I believe that after this last season, all bets are off. I had certain expectations. I think she should eliminate Homelander. However, I don’t think her wish or desire can be fulfilled. Who knows? But she needs to at least get rid of The Deep, let me take down that fishy guy as a minimum, for heaven’s sake.”

Despite the longstanding animosity between Starlight and The Deep, which was highlighted by The Deep’s sexual assault of Starlight in season 1, Marlborough suggested that Starlight would only kill someone if provoked first. She elaborated: “Starlight can’t just go around killing people; she needs to be provoked initially because that’s her character. If someone attacks her, it becomes a matter of self-defense since she is Annie, but she still has to take action against someone. I believe this idea of a satisfying retribution was not widely supported until the recent season. However, I think we really need this element of cathartic justice.”

1. “The fifth season of ‘The Boys’ hasn’t been given a release date yet, but it’s anticipated to come out in 2026. In the latest installment of this hit series, which broke records for streaming viewership, Starlight grappled with her distasteful past actions as a beauty pageant contestant. The season concludes with Starlight appearing safe while her partner Hughie (played by Jack Quaid) gets kidnapped.”

The actors Quaid, Moriarty, Chace Crawford (as The Deep), and Antony Starr (as Homelander) are anticipated to return for Season 5 of “The Boys.” Showrunner Eric Kripke hinted that no character is guaranteed survival in the last season, implying there might be deaths.

Moriarty’s interview takes place during her publicity tour for her upcoming movie titled “Catching Dust,” a gripping thriller. This is Stuart Gatt’s first feature film as director, with “Catching Dust” depicting the story of a New York couple who find themselves in need of lodging in Texas. Alongside Moriarty, Jai Courtney, Dina Shihabi, and Ryan Corr also appear in this thriller. The movie will be released in cinemas and on video-on-demand platforms starting from August 23.
