After Nani, Siddhu Jonnalagadda reacts to Arshad Warsi’s ‘joker’ remark on Prabhas and Kalki 2898 AD; writes a long note

As a die-hard fan of Indian cinema, I find myself deeply moved by the recent exchange between Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Arshad Warsi. Having grown up in the vibrant world of Telugu cinema, I’ve witnessed the relentless struggle and sheer determination it takes to make it big in this industry.

Recently, DJ Tillu actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda spoke out against Bollywood star Arshad Warsi following his comment about Prabhas, labeling him a “joker.” In an Instagram post, Siddhu expressed, “Everyone has the freedom to express their opinions. We all appreciate or criticize movies and actors based on our personal preferences, and that’s acceptable.”

“But, how you express that opinion matters, big time. Especially when you are a member of the same community and know how hard it is to find a footing here and then to sustain it. We are all game for some constructive criticism but terms like ‘Joker’ don’t exactly scream the same.”

The actor spoke at length about how the movie Kalki 2898 AD embodies the greatness of Indian cinema. Additionally, Siddhu pointed out that Nag Ashwin is a standout director and Prabhas is definitely one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry.

He added that the movie’s biggest pillar was the actor and his stardom. This “X-Factor” is what made the film collect more than 1000 crores in box office revenue.

Moreover, the actor added, “In the world of Telugu films, we value everyone’s opinion as long as it’s delivered thoughtfully. Could we please show each other some respect?”

If you haven’t heard yet, Bollywood star Arshad Warsi recently appeared on a podcast named “Unfiltered with Samdish” hosted by Samdish Bhatia. During the discussion, the actor from Munna Bhai MBBS was asked to share any films he found less appealing.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d express my thoughts this way: “I must admit, Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama was truly captivating, but I found myself deeply disappointed with Prabhas’ performance. I can’t help but feel a sense of longing for the intensity and depth that Mad Max or Mel Gibson would bring to the role. It’s perplexing to me why such choices were made. I yearn to witness the powerful, gripping performances these actors are known for.”

The comments made by Arshad against the Rebel Star have created quite a stir amongst fans. Recently, actor Nani also hit out against the same and said, “I think the biggest publicity in that person’s life has occurred now. You guys are unnecessarily glorifying an unimportant matter then.”
