As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating complex narratives and intricate plot twists, I must admit that Bad Monkey Episode 3 has managed to keep me hooked. The mystery surrounding Israel O’Peele’s death and Christopher’s true identity is as captivating as it is confounding.
I’m super excited because Bad Monkey Episode 3 just dropped on Apple TV Plus, and everyone’s buzzing about who ended up killing Israel O’Peele and unmasking Christopher’s true identity! This gripping series follows the story of Andrew Yancy (played by Vince Vaughn), a former detective-turned-food inspector, as he dives deeper into an intricate mystery surrounding a severed arm. In this latest episode, “Nobody Said He Was Alvin Einstein,” Yancy’s investigation takes him and Rosa to Israel O’Peele, a doctor who was apparently helping the supposed victim pull off an insurance scam. On the other hand, Neville’s relentless pursuit of justice for Christopher is leading him down a dangerous path with the Dragon Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith) and her grandmother in the Bahamas. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
Here is everything that happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 3.
What happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 3?
In this episode, Yancy and Rosa’s bond deepens as they work together to unravel the mystery of Nick’s death. Essentially, Rosa takes on the role of Yancy’s partner in their investigation. There’s obvious romantic tension between them, and it’s apparent when Rosa shows a hint of annoyance upon Yancy receiving a call from Bonnie during their flirtatious moments.
Yancy and Rosa chat with Madeline, finding out that a man had given her deceased boyfriend a disconnected arm to use as fishing line bait. They follow this lead and uncover that Nick was involved in an insurance fraud scheme, working alongside Dr. Israel O’Peele. During their visit to O’Peele, Yancy comes across a brochure advertising Curly Tail Lane, a resort which seems to be the planned development by Christopher in the Bahamas.
In this episode, Yancy and Neville, the main characters of the show, meet each other for the first time. Yancy drops by the restaurant owned by Neville’s sister, where both Neville and a monkey named Driggs are present. After returning to the Bahamas, Neville and Driggs attempt to go fishing but find that their boat is missing. Christopher, who was responsible for cutting the boat loose, shows up and threatens Neville and Driggs by shooting in their direction after they step onto his property. This incident leads Yancy to return to the Dragon Queen and pay her the money he may have received from his sister. However, Ya-Ya suspects that he still doesn’t trust the Dragon Queen and demands that he surrender Driggs, which Yancy reluctantly does.
At the close of the show, Neville gains entry into Christopher’s office, encountering Egg, Christopher’s muscle. In a fortunate twist, Neville has Charles’ firearm on him, which effectively halts Egg. Upon departing, Neville administers a punch to Egg as retribution for what Egg did to Charles.
Who Killed Israel O’Peele?
Following their visit, Dr. O’Peele becomes distressed and contacts Eve. Despite Yancy and Rose’s reassuring words and an invitation to the Bahamas, he finds out that Yancy had taken the brochure. The next day, Dr. O’Peele sends a message to Yancy indicating his readiness for a discussion. However, as Yancy arrives at Dr. O’Peele’s location, someone fatally shoots him from behind. Since it takes only 45 minutes to fly from the Florida Keys to the Bahamas, the primary suspect, Christopher, is most likely the one who pulled the trigger. It appears that they eliminated Dr. O’Peele to tidy up their plan, as he had become a loose end for Christopher and Eve.
Who is Christopher?
During the course of the episode, Yancy drops by Caitlin’s place and reveals that he uncovered proof showing that Eve was the one who killed Nick and dismembered him. Prior to this revelation, Caitlin had chosen to brush off her doubts since Eve mentioned receiving a portion of the insurance money. However, upon learning this information, Caitlin decides to confront Eve in the Bahamas. As the episode concludes, it’s revealed that Eve’s supposed boyfriend, Christopher, is none other than Nick – with his missing arm shown on screen just before the credits begin.
In the progression of the series, it’s reasonable to infer that either Nick or Christopher actively participated in the events leading up to his severed arm, as he didn’t perform the act himself. This appears to be an integral part of the elaborate insurance scheme that Nick or Christopher has been orchestrating. The missing meteorologist and the subplot involving him are peripheral aspects of the main storyline, hinting at this deception.
