Interestingly, did you know that Rashmika Mandanna, who entered the film industry in 2016, shed tears on the set during the filming of Parasuram’s directorial?
In an interview from 2019, actress Rashmika Mandanna spoke candidly about a practical joke played by a director that left her in tears. She explained, “One day, I arrived late on the set of Geetha Govindam. When I got there, no one spoke to me and made me feel awkward. I couldn’t figure out what was going on, so I sat down and started crying.”
Initially, Rashmika was taken aback when she found out about the situation. But even when Director Parasuram tried to comfort her later on, it still took her quite a while to accept and move past it. In her own words, “I was so surprised by what I heard that I couldn’t believe it was a joke at first. It actually took me some time to process it all.”
2018 saw the unveiling of Geetha Govindam, a movie that left an indelible mark as a blockbuster sensation. Under the visionary direction of Parasuram Petla, this masterpiece brought together Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna for their initial on-screen collaboration. To this day, fans like me are still captivated by their electrifying chemistry, which has become synonymous with reinventing love and romance on the silver screen.
In its initial run, the romantic comedy movie earned universal admiration upon release, with critics particularly appreciating the on-screen chemistry between the characters. After their successful collaboration in Geetha Govindam, the pair teamed up once more for Dear Comrade in the year 2019.
Currently, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are thriving in their careers. As for Rashmika, she has a number of exciting projects coming up. First among these is the highly anticipated sequel to Pushpa, titled Pushpa 2: The Rule. In this film, directed by Sukumar, she will share the screen with superstar Allu Arjun, promising to ignite the screens once again.
Afterward, you’ll find the actress appearing in Kubera alongside Dhanush. It’s also worth mentioning that she has two intriguing Bollywood movies lined up, one titled Chhava which co-stars Vicky Kaushal.
