As a dedicated fan of Emily in Paris, having binge-watched every season and lived vicariously through Emily’s Parisian escapades, I must say that I am both excited and apprehensive about the upcoming episodes. The cliffhanger at the end of part 1 has left me on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting the remaining five episodes set to air on Sept. 12.

In the show “Emily in Paris”, Emily might have taken a significant step in her romantic journey during season 4 part 1, but there are still more stories to unfold in the second half of the season. After the release of the first five episodes on August 15th, the remaining five episodes will be available from September 12th and will take Emily to Rome.
The big trip to Italy wasn’t teased in season 4 part 1, but Netflix teased Emily’s Roman holiday before cameras even started rolling on season 4, and paparazzi cameras later caught Lily Collins filming scenes in the city with a man who was neither Gabriel nor Alfie. Suspicious!
In the unveiling of preliminary images for season 4 of “Emily in Paris” by Netflix, a host of new, unseen characters were introduced in the second part, one of whom is the enigmatic figure named Marcello, portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini. Will Marcello potentially disrupt Emily’s romantic connection with Gabriel?
Lily Collins address love triangle concerns in Emily in Paris season 4 part 2
In the first half of season 4 for the show “Emily in Paris,” Emily chose between Gabriel and Alfie and decided to pursue a relationship with her beloved, Gabriel. Alfie may reappear in the second part to wrap things up or possibly introduce another storyline, but as of now, Emily and Gabriel are officially together.
It seems that some people are surprised and concerned, as they thought Emily’s storyline was becoming clear, but it appears Emily has chosen someone else, and Collins was spotted filming part 2 with another man. Collins hinted at a possible new “geometry lesson” for Emily in the upcoming installment without explicitly revealing what will happen to her character next.
The lead actor and show creator didn’t reveal specifics, but they hinted at an upcoming Roman-themed story in a subtle suggestion made to Deadline.
I can’t speak too much on that. I can just say that there were paparazzi pictures that came out where you see that there is a new person that she’s in Rome spending time with, but I will say that Emily gets to go on a very fun Roman Holiday, and Emily wouldn’t be Emily without a little geometry lesson.

Emily doesn’t need another love triangle
From a personal standpoint, whether it’s Alfie or Marcello, I don’t feel that Emily in Paris should be involved in another love triangle. After taking the step into love, watching this relationship potentially falter again due to more confusion or another potential partner trying to win her affection would likely tire the viewers. Frankly, the “will they, won’t they” scenario can become repetitive after a certain point and lose its charm.
As an ardent fan of Alfie, let me express my sentiments clearly: A cheating storyline is something we, the fans, unequivocally reject and find unnecessary. I can’t help but feel a pang of regret for even entertaining such a thought! To preserve the integrity of Emily and Gabriel’s love story in this romantic comedy, let’s keep it engaging yet authentic. While watching a charming Italian heir flirt with Emily might add an exciting twist, it should not be a viable option in their heartfelt equation.
Emily and Gabriel have put in a tremendous amount of effort to reach their current position. Despite the numerous obstacles that Camille has presented them, I can’t help but believe that nothing could potentially come between them now. The most astonishing twist would undeniably be Gabriel appearing in Rome to propose to Emily, which is something we should all hope for in the next chapter of their story.
