In Jackpot, Paul Feig envisions a vibrant, over-the-top Los Angeles of the future, filled with bright colors, flamboyance, and grandeur, according to Shapiro. To reflect this world, I aimed to create a score that mirrors it. The score encompasses a large brass ensemble, the sharp notes of Commodore 64 computer chip tones, and fast rhythms. Essentially, it’s a mix of intense sounds at fast speeds.

With hordes of jackpot hunters threatening her life, she is compelled to team up with a novice lottery bodyguard, Noel Cassidy (portrayed by John Cena). Despite his reservations, he vows to help her survive till sunset in return for a share of the prize.
