On August 15th, my heart skipped a beat as I finally got a glimpse of the tantalizing teaser for Bazooka – a masterpiece I’ve been eagerly awaiting! Starring the legendary Mammootty alongside the genius Gautham Vasudev Menon, this teaser was nothing short of spectacular.
The story opens as Gautham Vasudev Menon’s character, a cunning police officer, tricks his higher-ups while his team brutally assaults criminals on the streets. He is also depicted subduing wrongdoers with his firearm. To set the stage, Babu Antony’s voiceover, representing the villain, introduces an ominous tone by suggesting that the ensuing events represent a game starting at one and ending at a hundred, symbolizing a struggle between righteousness and wickedness. The scene then shifts to a man dressed in a dark coat walking into a football stadium, accompanied by foreboding music.
In a tranquil setting, Mammootty is found seated, later stirred into action by a robotic voice urging him to get ready for a task and don formal attire. The scene transitions to Mammootty stepping out of an old-fashioned car, looking sharp in a black tuxedo, his hair styled neatly in a bun. With a substantial mustache and beard, he exudes a powerful demeanor as ominous whispers suggest impending danger. The preview concludes with Gautham Vasudev Menon inquiring about Mammootty’s character, to which the actor nonchalantly suggests that no role has been beyond his reach, subtly highlighting his vast cinematic experience.
