Kizumonogatari Trailer Previews Vampire Anime Trilogy

As a seasoned anime enthusiast with a soft spot for supernatural tales of romance and vampires, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp! Having dabbled in manga and anime since my teens, I can confidently say that this film promises to be a captivating addition to my collection.

The streaming platform Crunchyroll has unveiled the official trailer for Kizumonogatari, the upcoming U.S. rollout of Shaft’s supernatural vampire anime trilogy. Following the three-movie anime adaptation that premiered in Japanese theaters back in January.

The story revolves around Koyomi Araragi, a high school student, who had a life-altering experience with the enchanting yet powerless vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. One eventful night saw him cross paths with her – the legendary vampire, known as the Slayer of Phantoms and the Ruler of Phantoms. In a pitiful state, she lay bleeding and disfigured, her elegant attire stained crimson red. Yet to Koyomi, she remained strikingly beautiful in this unfortunate situation.

When is the Kizumonogatari release date?

On August 28, Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp will be screened in North America and Mexico for a one-day event, while it’s set to hit theaters in Australia on September 5. This three-movie anime adaptation is pieced together from clips of the trilogy of films with the same name that were originally released in 2016 and 2017.

Kizumonogatari: Tatsuya Oishi penned and supervised the direction of this film, which was inspired by the original narrative by NISIOISIN. The movie showcases the vocal talents of Hiroshi Kamiya, Yui Horie, Maaya Sakamoto, Takahiro Sakurai, Masashi Ebara, Miyu Irino and others. Shaft handled its production.
