As an ardent fan of R Madhavan and Aanand L Rai’s cinematic magic, I can’t help but feel like a kid in a candy store, eagerly awaiting their next collaboration. Their partnership in Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel has left an indelible mark on my heart, and I simply cannot contain my excitement whenever they announce a new project together.

In a successful partnership with director Aanand L Rai, R Madhavan’s films Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns were massive box office hits in 2014 and 2015. During this time, the actor expressed admiration for the filmmaker, stating that Anand is skilled at understanding his artists deeply. Additionally, R Madhavan confessed feelings of envy towards actor-director duo Dhanush and Aanand L Rai when they collaborated on Raanjhanaa.

During an interview with IndiaGlitz, he expressed, “I felt quite envious towards Dhanush when he was working on a film with Aanand, as I was going to miss out on that opportunity. I would feel the same way about any other actor who gets to work with Aanand.”

Apart from praising their work together in the 2013 film ‘Brilliant’, Minnale actor Madhavan also commended Aanand L Rai and Dhanush, stating that as a director, Aanand has an exceptional understanding of his artists. He went on to express his admiration for Aanand, saying that he had shared insights with him that were so profound they gave him goosebumps, leaving him wondering why such wisdom hadn’t been shared before.

In the 2021 movie “Atrangi Re,” director Aanand L Rai teamed up once more with actor Dhanush. This production also starred Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Currently, Dhanush and R. Madhavan are thriving professionally. Most recently, Dhanush directed Raayan, while R. Madhavan acted alongside Jyotika and Ajay Devgn in the film Shaitaan, which was directed by Vikas Bahl.

Alternatively, Madhavan is set to team up with Nayanthara and Siddharth for a future sports movie called Test. This project, helmed by director S. Sashikanth and scripted by Suman Kumar, follows the story of three individuals whose lives intertwine during an international cricket test match in Chennai. The ensuing events compel them to confront significant, challenging choices.
