As a die-hard fan of gritty urban dramas who’s seen more than her fair share of shows, I must say that Supacell has truly captured my attention like no other. With its unique blend of action, suspense, and a touch of sci-fi, this series has managed to carve out a niche for itself in the crowded landscape of streaming television.
At the tail-end of June, Supacell – a series brought to life by Rapman – made its grand debut on Netflix. It’s safe to say that this show has undeniably become one of the most popular TV events of the summer for the streaming service.
In a nutshell, the series “Supacell” follows five residents of South London as they discover their extraordinary abilities. Banding together, they strive to thwart an enigmatic group that poses a threat to them. On August 13th (Tuesday), it was confirmed that Netflix is producing Season 2 of “Supacell”. They revealed this exciting news on their social media platforms, accompanied by video messages from Rapman and the series’ actors.
Without a doubt, the anticipation of whether Supacell would be renewed for another season was lengthy, but now, the acting and creative team can resume their work on the upcoming season.

Has Netflix announced the Supacell season 2 release date?
It appears that Netflix hasn’t disclosed the release date for season 2 of “Supacell” just yet. Given that we’ve only recently learned about its return, there’s still plenty of time for the creative process – scriptwriting, filming, editing, and more – before an official release date is announced. However, things are looking promising so far!
Looking forward to finding out how Supacell’s second season unfolds! As per Netflix, Rapman hinted at returning to the writer’s room for discussions about the upcoming season, suggesting that the writing process for the second season is still ongoing. Therefore, it seems likely that the production of season 2 will start once the scripts are finalized.

What’s next in Supacell season 2?
At the end of Supacell season 1, there are several major revelations that set up season 2.
For a length of time, Krazy was associated with the organization, and he possessed extraordinary abilities. In an unprecedented alliance during the season, Michael, Andre, Tazer, Rodney, and Sabrina joined forces to confront Krazy and his followers. Regrettably, Dionne lost her life in this struggle.
In the game’s continuation, I ventured into the unknown, stepping through a portal to leap ahead in time. My goal was clear: uncover as much as possible about this enigmatic group, with the hope of returning to the present and thwarting their nefarious plans.
Towards the close of the season, it’s Ray conversing with Krazy, who surprisingly hasn’t met his demise yet, but won’t live much longer. Victoria, the one in control of the operation, makes an appearance and orders Krazy’s execution for mishandling the situation. She also voiced her displeasure towards Ray. You might recall that Victoria was the lady who spoke with Michael’s mother at the beginning of the season, urging her to visit their establishment. She’s far from kind, that much is certain!
According to Rapman, although Michael, Andre, Rodney, Tazer, and Sabrina couldn’t alter the fact that Dionne passed away, they did have the power to influence the course of events in the future.

Supacell Season 1 is my Batman Begins. It’s a prequel of what they’ll be like. Season 2 is when you really see what they become. That future you saw at the end of the pilot in London, that exact future doesn’t exist anymore. They’ve changed everything. It’s going to be interesting when we get into the writers’ room.
Rapman has at least three seasons planned for Supacell
It would be great if Rapman and the team behind ‘Supacell’ have an opportunity to complete their vision, possibly with season 3. Rumor has it that they have mapped out three seasons for this series, as confirmed by Rapman to Netflix.
I’ve always had it mapped out to season 3. I know how Season 2 ends. I’ve got stuff planned for this story. I’ve had this in my head for years, so I’m ready to go.
As a devoted fan, I was thrilled when he hinted at the possibility of the series extending beyond three seasons in an interview with Deadline. However, only time will tell if this dream becomes a reality.
