As a long-time admirer of heartwarming stories that resonate deeply with the audience, I must say that Love Sea the Series has truly outdone itself with its final episode. The emotional rollercoaster that Mahasamut and Tongrak went through was as captivating as it was relatable.

On August 11, 2024, the last episode of “Love Sea,” a series streamed on iQIYI, was broadcast. Peat Wasuthorn Chaijindar and Fort Thitipong Sangngey played Tongrak and Mahasamut respectively, portraying their deep-seated romantic connection throughout the drama.

In Episode 10 of Love Sea the Series, Tongrak has a meal with his long-absent mother. He invites Mahasamut along, but he declines and stays behind. Upon returning home, Tongrak confides in Mahasamut that his mother will now look after their father. If Mahasamut attempts to interfere again, she has information ready to imprison him. She had also handled Prin’s situation similarly, as her family had agreed to send her for studies abroad. Tongrak then extends an invitation to Mahasamut to join him next time when he meets his mother again.

In a turn of events, Mahasamut places a bracelet on Tongrak’s arm and elucidates its meaning. Moments later, Mahasamut attempts to declare his affection, but Tongrak intercepts him. However, Mahasamut expresses his love for Tongrak anyway, causing the latter to become anxious and attempt to renegotiate their deal. As a gesture from the past, Mahasamut sends money to Tongrak. Inquisitive, he queries about the price of Tongrak’s affection. Mahasamut clarifies that it is Tongrak himself, not the money, that he yearns for. Tongrak refuses his love and discards the bracelet. Mahasamut reiterates his feelings, but Tongrak rejects him once more.

1. Mahasamut departs from Tongrak’s home and asks Vie and Mook to take care of him. Later, upon encountering Kwan and Meena, he learns that 8 is a special number for Tongrak because it resembles the symbol of infinity. Kwan explains that instead of giving a perfect score of 10, Tongrak rates something as an 8 when he truly likes it. This revelation leaves Mahasamut visibly upset. Vie later informs Mahasamut that he has come back to the island, but Tongrak chooses not to pursue him because he does not wish for more suffering. In anger, Tongrak discards the bracelet given by Mahasamut in a trash bin.

Mahasamut comes back to the island, leaving Tongrak engrossed in his tasks. Mook confides in Vie about Tongrak’s predicament. Later on, an aggravated Tongrak confesses his inability to write to Saw. Subsequently, Tongrak realizes that his bracelet is missing as Mook disposes of the trash. He then searches for it and chases after the garbage truck. In a moment of desperation, Tongrak kneels down and apologizes to Mahasamut. Eventually, Vie discloses she has the bracelet upon Tongrak’s return home. He requests her to return it, but she questions if he’ll discard it once more.

In a different phrasing: Vie stubbornly holds back and inquires about Tongrak’s next move. Upon questioning, Tongrak admits that the concept of “love” scared him. He reveals his foreboding as he is aware of the tragic endings experienced by his mother and sister. Vie encourages him not to fear loss before it occurs. Later, Tongrak seeks information about Mahasamut from Palm and learns he can be found at the beach. Upon encountering Mahasamut, Tongrak asks him to wear the bracelet, but Mahasamut misinterprets this as a playful gesture, believing Tongrak is mocking his emotions by giving back the bracelet. Angry, Mahasamut declares he will never return, no matter how much Tongrak compensates him. Subsequently, Vie suggests that Tongrak should employ more subtle methods to express his feelings towards Mahasamut as he could not do so directly.

After repeatedly turning down our conversations, Mahasamut finally consents to hear me out following my final plea. In a voice message, he expresses remorse for the pain he’s caused me. He admits that he’s been evading me and our feelings because he’s terrified. Yet, he yearns to start each day with me by his side and declare his true emotions. Tongrak regrets discovering his love for Mahasamut when it might already be too late.

Following the voice message, Mahasamut hastens to find Tongrak and embraces him warmly. He urges Tongrack to openly admit his feelings. In the climactic scene of Love Sea the Series, Tongrak expresses his love for Mahasamut by saying “I love you.” Overjoyed, Mahasamut then reveals the tattoo he acquired as a symbol of their relationship.
