Zootopia 2 Adds Ke Huy Quan to Cast, Character Revealed

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgic excitement at the news that Ke Huy Quan is joining the cast of Zootopia 2! Growing up, his characters in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and The Goonies were some of my favorites, adding a touch of adventure to my gaming escapades.

Ke Huy Quan has joined the cast of Zootopia 2.

The second installment of Disney’s Zootopia, set to be released soon, is a follow-up to the 2016 theater debut. In this continuation, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman will once again lend their voices to the characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

On Friday, August 9, 2024, during the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase, it emerged that Quan would be part of the film’s cast.

Who is Ke Huy Quan playing in Zootopia 2?

Quan will voice a character named Gary, a snake who is a “wanted” reptile.

Goodwin described Quan’s character as having a questionable history. Furthermore, she pointed out that Gary is ominous, slick, and extremely toxic, implying that he might lead the team on an entirely different adventure.

Furthermore, comedian Fortune Feimster (known for her roles in The Mindy Project and Office Christmas Party) is set to lend her voice to a character named Nibbles – a beaver – in the upcoming animated sequel.

At the moment, specifics about the storyline for Zootopia 2 are kept secret. This upcoming film is helmed by director and writer Jared Bush, with Yvette Merino taking on the role of producer.

Keanu Reeves has garnered recognition for his roles as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) and Data in The Goonies (1985). His exceptional acting in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) earned him an Academy Award. Following this, he appeared as O.B. in Marvel’s Loki series during its second season. More recently, he provided the voice for Han in The Electric State (2024), and viewers can look forward to seeing him in both The Electric State directed by the Russo brothers and Jonathan Eusebio’s With Love.
