In 2019, both actors collaborated on a film titled “Thambi”, directed by Jeethu Joseph, known for his work in Drishyam. This Tamil production was an action-thriller that tells the story of two siblings. In it, Parvathy struggles to accept her brother Saravanan who has returned home after a 15-year absence.
Over time, she comes to realize that things are not as they seem, eventually unearthing a secret plot involving her. The movie boasts an impressive cast including Karthi, Jyothika, Sathyaraj, Nikhila Vimal, Seetha, Anson Paul, Sowcar Janaki, Bala, and several other prominent actors in pivotal roles.
As a devoted fan, I had the pleasure of witnessing the initial teamwork between Karthi and Jyothika in a film that turned out to be both a commercial and critical triumph. In her professional life, Jyothika recently appeared as the main character in the Hindi film titled Srikanth, alongside Rajkummar Rao. This biographical movie is about Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired entrepreneur, where Jyothika portrayed his mentor.

Additionally, Karthi is at present filming for his upcoming movie Sardar 2, helmed by PS Mithran, a follow-up to his 2022 film. Following this, Karthi will be seen in the films Meiyazhagan with Aravind Samy and Vaa Vaathiyare.
