Suriya sustains minor injury on sets of Karthik Subbaraj's film; producer Rajasekhar shares health update

As a die-hard fan of Suriya, this news about his minor accident on the sets of Suriya 44 sent a chill down my spine. However, as someone who has followed his career for decades, I am well aware that our hero is no stranger to adversity – remember the time he battled through injuries during the making of Aaru? But fear not, dear fellow fans! Our beloved action star is safe and recovering, thanks to the love and prayers we’ve sent his way.

Unexpectedly, during filming of what’s yet to be named, Suriya’s new project (Suriya 44), an accident occurred on set while working on an action scene in Ooty. Thankfully, Soorarai Pottru’s lead actor is unharmed and well, but did sustain a minor head wound.

On August 9th, film producer Rajsekar Pandian used his official account to alleviate concerns among Suriya’s fans by providing an update on his health. He explained that it was a minor injury, emphasizing that Suriya is in good health due to the love and prayers of everyone.

In addition to Suriya’s highly anticipated film “Suriya 44,” another superstar is preparing for the release of their massive pan-Indian project titled “Kanguva.” This epic tale is being co-financed by UV Creations and Studio Green.

1) The movie “Kanguva” boasts catchy tunes by Devi Sri Prasad and stunning visuals courtesy of Vetri Palanisamy. This multi-lingual film (available in 10 languages) will first be shown in 3D format. In addition to Suriya, the cast includes notable Bollywood stars such as Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and B. S. Avinash.

In an interview, producer KE Gnanvel Raja announced that the movie “Kanguva,” directed by Siva, will hit theaters on October 10, 2024. Interestingly, this film is planned as a two-part series with the first part’s ending setting up the sequel. As of now, the script for “Kanguva Part 2” is being worked on, and production is expected to begin sometime between late 2025 and early 2026.
