As a long-time fan of Futurama who has witnessed its comings and goings since 1999, I must say that the return of this brilliant animated series is like finding my favorite lost robot in a cosmic debris field. The new clip from “The Temp” episode only serves to whet my appetite for more mind-bending adventures with Fry, Leela, Bender, and the whole Planet Express crew.

What happens in the Futurama clip?
In an upcoming Futurama scene, the Planet Express ship lands at the “Liberry” to retrieve a significant number of damaged books. The librarian discloses that by the year 2029, almost everyone had ceased borrowing library books. The last book borrowed was a written description of a TikTok video.
“The Temp” is due to make its debut on Hulu on August 12, 2024. Meanwhile, starting from July 29, 2024, the ninth season of Futurama will be broadcast, wrapping up on September 30, 2024 with the tenth and concluding episode.

The animated show Futurama first appeared on screens in 1999, running for seven consecutive seasons until it concluded in 2013. After this, four distinct special episodes were broadcast, and the series was successfully revitalized in 2023 with an entire season available on Hulu.
In 2024, Futurama, the popular sci-fi series by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen (which was highly praised following its 2023 revival on Hulu), will come back with a fresh set of ten episodes. This year’s journey takes us along as our occasionally heroic team experiences mind-blowing adventures, including deadly birthday party games, uncovering the mysteries behind Bender’s ancestral robot village, dealing with A.I. companions (both friends and foes), adorable beanbags that are impossible to resist, and the true 5 million-year-old tale behind the mind-altering substance known as coffee. As always, we follow Fry and Leela’s destined, time-traveling romance into its next chapter.
