Wuthering Waves rumor claims highly-anticipated Camellya won’t release until “after 2.0”

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating virtual worlds, I must say I find myself both elated and dismayed by the latest developments in Wuthering Waves. The anticipation for new characters like Zhezhi, Xiangli Yao, Youhu, and The Shorekeeper is palpable, yet the rumor of Camellya’s delayed release has cast a shadow over my gaming horizons.

In the game, Wuthering Waves, there’s a great lineup of intriguing playable characters on the horizon. With update 1.2, we’ll be introducing Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao, followed by Youhu and The Shorekeeper. These new characters are generating a lot of buzz, but among them all, Camellya is particularly eagerly awaited. However, it seems there’s a whisper that Camellya won’t appear in Wuthering Waves until after version 2.0.

As a longtime fan of Wuthering Waves and someone who has eagerly awaited every update since the game’s release, I can barely contain my excitement for what’s coming next! In just a week from now, on August 15th or 16th (depending on your time zone), we will finally get our hands on update 1.2. This new version promises not one but two exciting additions to our roster of playable characters: Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao!

Enthusiasm runs high among fans for Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao, along with Youhu and The Shorekeeper. However, there’s a character named Camellya who has everyone on the edge of their seats. Initially thought to be part of version 1.3, whispers now hint she might not appear for quite some time.

Camellya might not come out in Wuthering Waves until “after 2.0”

According to a rumor shared by WuWa_Universe on Twitter, there’s speculation that Camellya won’t be released in Wuthering Waves until after version 2.0. This information was originally attributed to UncleMQ, who is part of Team Mew. However, WuWa_Universe cautions that this information should be taken with a grain of salt as it is questionable. In other words, while there’s a rumor about the delay in Camellya’s release in Wuthering Waves until after version 2.0, it’s not definitive and should be treated with skepticism.

Based on past leaks, it’s been hinted that WuWa could move directly from version 1.4 to version 2.0. Although this isn’t confirmed, it seems to be what the leaks are suggesting. This suggests that version 2.0 may not be too far off, but unfortunately, the rumor explicitly states “after 2.0,” meaning we don’t have an exact release date yet. If the rumor is accurate, then we can expect her not to release this year.

It’s important to note that this information might not be accurate, so let’s cross our fingers and hope it’s untrue. For the moment, what we understand is that she isn’t included in the official list of characters, as Kuro has confirmed Yuhu and The Shorekeeper for version 1.3.

Beyond the Camellya speculation, the post from WuWa_Universe also suggests the points mentioned for sections 1.3 and 1.4.

  • 1.3: Jiyan rerun
  • 1.4: OLD Chun was improved in (design, attribute and weapon), became a gun.
  • 1.4: Paid Jinhsi skin, free Sanhua skin.

1. Be cautious about this information; it might not be entirely accurate.

Within the community, there seems to be some misunderstanding regarding Chun and Camellya. To clarify, they are distinct characters, with Chun being an updated version of the original Camellya model. As further explained by WuWa_Universe, the older version of Chun is a damage-dealing character, specifically a gun DPS, belonging to Uncle MQ’s team, Team Mew.

Old Chun is a Gun DPS character.
