NTR 31 BREAKING: Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s film gets a release date, two years after initial announcement

As a devoted fan of Jr NTR, who has been following his illustrious career since the days of “Simhasanam,” I can’t help but feel like a kid on Christmas Eve as we approach the release date of the much-anticipated collaboration between Jr NTR and the visionary director Prashanth Neel. The anticipation has been building for what feels like an eternity, with the initial announcement back in 2022, followed by an agonizing wait for any updates.

In May 2022, Jr NTR unveiled his partnership with director Prashanth Neel on a project provisionally named NTR 31. However, due to their involvement in other projects, this collaboration was delayed for quite some time. Now, it’s official – the movie’s release date has been set!

Mythri Movie Makers revealed the planned launch date for the upcoming movie starring Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel via their official social media platform X. The grand premiere is set for January 9, 2026, in cinemas across the country.

The creators generated excitement for the upcoming movie by labeling it “People’s Champion” and wrote, “Next year, the earth will quake under his dominion! #NTRNeel is set to tread on the ground on January 9th, 2026 PEOPLE’S CHAMPION @tarak9999 #PrashanthNeel @MythriOfficial @NTRArtsOfficial”

Previously, a report in India Today indicated that the team behind Jr NTR’s movie with Prashanth Neel might reveal new information about their postponed project on August 9, 2024.

However, it would only be an opening ceremony, while the main launch event of the film would take place later, once the cast is finalized. The initial opening ceremony was slated to be aired on a few social media and YouTube channels, and Jr NTR was supposed to be a part of it.

Currently, Jr NTR is packed with the promotions of his soon-to-release film, Devara: Part 1.
