Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s relationship is a beautiful example of deep love and romance, as they first connected on the set of their movie Vamsi and instantly fell for each other. Now, after 19 blissful years together, they are parents to two wonderful children.
Following the marriage ceremony with the actor from Maharshi, Namrata opted to step away from acting and focus on her new married life. In a retrospective conversation, the former actress disclosed her choice to depart from the entertainment industry.
She mentioned that they, Mahesh and herself, had established certain conditions prior to their marriage. She also stated that her husband made it clear he desired a spouse who would not work.
Namrata expressed that Mahesh made it clear he preferred her not to work, which is the reason behind our decision to take some time off. This break allowed her to complete filming for all her ongoing projects. Upon marriage, she found herself with no job commitments, thus she wrapped up all her pending movies.
Additionally, she discussed her pre-marital arrangement and explained, “We agreed that we’d initially reside in a flat following our marriage since I hail from Mumbai and was unsure about adapting to these large mansions. This was my stipulation for moving to Hyderabad.”
Furthermore, during the same conversation, Namrata disclosed that she holds no remorse for departing from the acting and modeling sphere. Initially, she joined this profession to meet her mother’s aspirations, but as time passed, she admitted that it didn’t ignite the same passion within her.
