As a long-time fan of heartwarming Korean dramas, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming series, Starry Night! The addition of the exceptional talents like Go Hyun-Jung and Ryeoun to the cast is simply icing on the cake.
In late 2024, Genie TV and ENA will introduce a fresh series titled “Starry Night (Namib)“. The cast list for this upcoming drama starring Go Hyun-Jung and Ryeoun has been expanded with new actors joining the production.
Title Night of the Stars portrays Kang Soo-Hyun, a mother and former CEO of an entertainment agency, who was dismissed due to past errors. She is granted severance pay, enabling her to acquire a trainee, Yoo Jin-Woo. Overwhelmed by concerns for her child’s wellbeing, she becomes self-centered. Thus, she resolves to groom Jin-Woo and subsequently sell him to another company. The profits from this sale will finance a fresh enterprise for her.
In due time, Soo-Hyun recognizes Jin-Woo’s talent and abandons her self-centered scheme. From that point on, she chooses to sincerely aid and mentor him.

In addition to Go Hyun-Jung and Ryeoun, the cast of Starry Night includes Yoon Sang-Hyun and Lee Jin-Woo in secondary roles. The actor from 18 Again will portray Soo-Hyun’s husband, Shim Jun-Seok, while Lee Jin-Woo will take on the role of their son, Jin-U.
The forthcoming drama promises to be deeply moving, featuring a compelling narrative that tugs at your heartstrings. The series will be jointly directed by filmmakers Jung Da-Won and Han Sang-Jae. Notably, it marks the reunion of Ryeoun and Jun-Seok on-screen since their portrayal of a father-son duo in the 2020 series, “18 Again.”
In the previous year, Ryeoun captivated audiences with his exceptional portrayal in Twinkling Watermelon. Next, he will take on a demanding role in the 2025 drama titled Weak Hero Class 2. This promising actor has also made appearances in other dramas like Doo Teob’s Easy School Life, Instant Love, 365: Repeat the Year, and Trainee for Adults.
In addition, Hyun-Jung has also starred in several dramas such as A Love Without Fear, Spring Day, The Queen’s Classroom, Mask Girl, and Mirror of Yourself.
Meanwhile, the two Korean actors will lead Starry Night, which will air on Genie TV and ENA.
