As a gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, I can say that the most rewarding experiences are those where we see ourselves reflected – flaws, fears, and all. The trailer for “Empire Waist” promises just that, a coming-of-age story that resonates deeply with its portrayal of a plus-size teen grappling with self-love and acceptance.
In an exclusive first look, ComingSoon is unveiling the trailer for the upcoming coming-of-age dramedy “Empire Waist.” Directed by Claire Ayoub, this movie will hit theaters in both the United States and Canada on September 27, 2024. Starring Mia Kaplan, Rainn Wilson, and other talented actors, it is brought to us by Blue Fox Entertainment.
The summary goes like this: “Lenore Miller is a shy, plus-sized teenager with a knack for fashion. Her self-assured classmate recognizes this talent, thrusting her into the limelight where she encounters both bullies and new friends. Lenore’s father, Mark (Wilson), is her strongest supporter, but her image-conscious mother (Pyle) and Lenore’s own insecurities hinder her from showcasing her designs. Will Lenore learn to embrace the self-love she instills in others?”
