Palworld fans are upset new update doesn’t fix “scary deletion bug that’s going around”

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Palworld has been an absolute gem this year. The continuous support from Pocketpair through frequent updates has only added to its charm. However, as we eagerly awaited the latest update 0.3.5, some fellow players were left dismayed due to the persistent “scary deletion bug” on Xbox consoles.

In the course of this year, Palworld has stood out as one of the top-performing and most popular games, with a significant portion of its success attributed to Pocketpair’s consistent updates. Recently, a new update has been released, bringing along several bug corrections. Although updates are generally exciting, some Palworld enthusiasts are displeased because this latest release doesn’t address a widespread “scary deletion bug” that’s currently circulating.

As a long-time gamer with a soft spot for adorable creatures and immersive worlds, I couldn’t be more excited about the phenomenal year Palworld is having! The chance to pre-order some irresistible merchandise has me counting down the days until it arrives on my doorstep. And let me tell you, the recent partnership between Pocketpair and Sony and Aniplex has me buzzing with anticipation. I’ve been following this IP since its inception, and I can’t wait to see it grow beyond the realm of video games and into new territories.

Daily exploration of the vast open world brings us joy, but there’s a worrying issue for some players on Xbox platforms. A severe bug is causing concern among fans.

New Palworld update doesn’t fix save deletion bug

In the world of Palworld, an exciting new update, version 0.3.5, has been rolled out! Here’s a quick rundown of what’s changed, as shared by Palworld_EN on Twitter:

Base fixes:

  • The frequency of notifications for Pals stuck in the base was too high, so we have suppressed them
    • Notifications are now only displayed when the player is within the range of the base where the incident is occurring
    • Notifications for problems related to natural objects like rocks and trees will no longer be shown
  • In some cases where a working pal is stuck, they will now work remotely from where they are standing

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a problem where pillars could not be built underwater
  • Fixed a problem where the oil rig turrets were desyncing in multiplayer

Text fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where simplified characters were mixed into the traditional Chinese translation
  • Other minor text related bugs fixed

These small improvements certainly aren’t huge overhauls, but they’re always valued and cherished because they significantly enhance the overall quality and smoothness of the user experience.

In response to the 0.3.5 patch notes discussed on the game’s subreddit, some players express frustration that the update hasn’t resolved the “terrifying save deletion issue” that’s been circulating. According to various comments, this problem seems to be a “save corruption” occurring on Xbox consoles. Players are disappointed as they feel that “nothing has been addressed on Xbox” regarding this issue.

Besides the ongoing frustration over save corruption on Xbox consoles, fans are disheartened by the lack of resolution for the bug that causes game progress to reset, erasing markers from the map and re-hiding them. Here’s hoping that the save corruption issue gets addressed promptly, as it is a significant concern and understandable source of frustration among console gamers.
