Regrettably for him, Charlie inadvertently summons Ben Morrissey, an individual whom Ian had earlier attempted to deter from testifying against Robert, employing Charlie in this effort.
Sadly, things took a tragic turn when Ben’s threat towards both Charlie and Ian resulted in his death. It’s unclear if it was her decision or an accident, but it seems she may have taken too much of something. This enigma might be resolved in the potential fourth season, if there is one.

During the gunfight on the bridge, Kyle witnesses Robert firing at an unarmed member of the Crip gang without provocation and attempting to apprehend a father who was merely shielding his child. In a moment of impulse, Kyle fatally shoots him. Remarkably, Robert manages to live due to his bulletproof vest, but is severely injured in the neck and admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Consequently, Kyle is escorted away by police officers.
