As a gamer with a keen eye for entertainment, I can’t help but feel exhilarated about the upcoming comedy movie, “Par for the Course.” With Quinta Brunson and Stephanie Hsu leading the charge, this film promises to deliver a rollercoaster of laughter that’s sure to hit a hole-in-one.
Quinta Brunson and Stephanie Hsu will take the leading roles in “Par for the Course,” a forthcoming humorous film that Seth Rogen is producing through his company, Point Grey Pictures.
What to know about Par for the Course
The specifics about the plot are being kept secret, but it’s known that the comedy is an original concept from Mindy Kaling. She will collaborate on the script with Justin Tan, who is also set to direct his first film for this project. Alex McAtee will produce the movie under Point Grey, as part of their deal with Universal Pictures.
From my gaming perspective, I’m thrilled to be part of the team that’s behind the scenes, producing for Fifth Chance. Erik Baiers, our Senior EVP Production Development, and Jacqueline Garell, our Creative Executive, are steering this project for the studio. It’s an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us!
Quincy Brunson is famed as both the lead and originator of the successful ABC mockumentary “Abbott Elementary,” which has earned her acclaim at the Emmys and Golden Globes. With additional recent projects under her belt like “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” and “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” Brunson is once more nominated for an Emmy for her work on the ABC series. The fourth season of “Abbott Elementary” premieres on October 9.
Regarding Hsu, she’s primarily recognized for her Academy Award-nominated dual performance in the multiverse tale “Everything Everywhere All at Once” produced by A24. Additionally, she has appeared in comedic films like “Free Guy” and “Joy Ride,” and made a memorable guest appearance in the murder mystery series “Poker Face.” In the near future, Hsu will lend her voice to “The Wild Robot” and star in and executive produce “Laid,” a forthcoming comedy series on Peacock’s streaming platform.
Point Grey, established in 2011 by Rogen and Goldberg, is responsible for projects such as This Is The End, Neighbors, and the latest suspenseful film Miller’s Girl. In television, they’ve recently produced The Boys and Sausage Party: Foodtopia, both available on Prime Video.
