As a dedicated K-pop fan with years of fandom under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming ISAC K-pop 2024! After a two-year hiatus, it’s like reunion time all over again. The lineup is simply phenomenal, featuring some of my favorite groups and rising stars that I’ve been eagerly waiting to see in action.
For the upcoming MBC event titled “ISAC (Idol Star Athletics Championships) 2024,” they have revealed both a potential schedule range and an impressive lineup of participants. This lineup is brimming with popular K-pop acts such as The Boyz, NCT Wish, UNIS, along with several other notable groups.
Since its debut in 2010, the Idol Star Athletics Championships has been steadily gaining recognition among K-pop enthusiasts. It grew in popularity by offering an annual platform where K-pop artists could demonstrate their athletic abilities. Notable stars like BTS’s Jungkook, SHINee’s Minho, (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua, and many others have created memorable moments for the event that continue to be a hot topic in K-pop discussions.
ISAC K-pop 2024: Does it have a release date?
2024’s ISAC broadcast commences in September, with MBC announcing the event’s approximate airing dates. The festivities will take place between the 16th and 18th of September, coinciding with the Chuseok holiday. South Korea’s MBC network is set to transmit the program during this period.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the 2024 iteration of ISAC, as it makes a comeback following a break of two years. Previously, ISAC events were held biannually, with one taking place during the Lunar New Year and another during the Chuseok holiday. The last ISAC event took place during the 2022 Chuseok festival.

Attendees of the show’s recordings have offered glimpses into some impressive victories from ISAC 2024. According to recent reports, HYBE’s emerging girl group, ILLIT, claimed two medals during ISAC Chuseok 2024, specifically a Silver and a Bronze medal.
In the fresh Breakdance competition, BADVILLAIN’s EMMA, Chloe Young, and INA took the top spot with an impressive score of 9.7. Meanwhile, making a debut at ISAC, Kim Ziwoong from Zerobaseone won a gold medal in Archery.
