Actress Jenna Ortega, who was nominated for an Emmy, is close to agreeing to act alongside Glen Powell (from the film “Anyone But You”) in a top-secret movie directed by J.J. Abrams for Warner Bros. Studios.
Titleless Production Is Said to Explore a Young Married Couple’s Battle for Survival Against an Otherworldly Being. Abrams is anticipated to take the helm from a screenplay he penned, and also produce through his Bad Robot studio. This would mark Abrams’ return to directing, five years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
What’s next for Jenna Ortega & Glen Powell?
Right now, Ortega is working on Season 2 of her show, airing on Wednesday, where she will once again play the renowned leading character. Prior to that, you can see her in Tim Burton’s much-awaited Beetlejuice sequel, alongside Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. This spooky comedy is scheduled to hit theaters on September 4, 2024. In addition, she has been signed to star in a few upcoming films, such as Taika Waititi’s movie adaptation of Klara and the Sun with Amy Adams and Natasha Lyonne, and the dark comedy Death of a Unicorn, featuring Paul Rudd.
Recently, I had a notable stint in Lee Isaac Chung’s movie Twisters, a disaster flick that garnered favorable feedback from critics. Upcoming, you’ll find me in Edgar Wright’s reimagining of The Running Man, inspired by Stephen King’s darkly thrilling novel of the same name.
