Brinda ending explained & spoilers

According to SonyLIV, here’s the summary of Brinda: A young, socially awkward yet ethically sound SI cadet named Brinda discovers a grisly murder with a chilling method. As she struggles to catch the killer who keeps eluding her, Brinda endures both personal and administrative difficulties, but what truly tests her is the moral dilemma that could shape her career and inner convictions.

To find out how the web series ends, continue reading.

Who is the serial killer?

The story starts with a flashback showing young girl Chinni searching for her brother Satya amidst a thick forest. To remedy a persistent issue in a nearby village, a priest proposes offering Chinni as a sacrifice. But Chinni’s mother bravely defies the villagers and spares her child’s life. Due to their hasty escape, Chinni, Satya, and their mom end up going their separate ways.

Following its return to the present, Brinda (portrayed by Trisha) struggles with insomnia. As a dedicated and astute sub-insspector, Brinda is a respected police officer. Upon discovering multiple murders within the city, she decides to delve into the case. It isn’t long before the serial killer, who shares a similar doll to Chinni, comes to light. Suspicions arise that Satya could be on a rampage, but the truth about these events unfolds gradually in the web series.

At the crime scene, officers discover an ATM receipt linked to businessman Anand. Following questioning, Anand is released, but detective Brinda’s suspicions intensify, leading her to trail him. The plot of the web series takes a shocking twist as serial killer Thakur meets his end. In his dying moments, he whispers that someone superior is orchestrating a team to eliminate those who practice faith.

Does Brinda kill Satya?

In a subsequent flashback, we learn that Thakur and Satya first crossed paths in a juvenile detention center. While Thakur was an atheist, Satya was imprisoned for avenging the murder of several people, including his own mother. Upon returning to their village after sending off Chinni, the villagers brutally murdered another innocent girl. They also took the life of Satya’s mother as punishment. Seeing the lifeless bodies of his mother and a young girl, Satya swore to punish every religious figure for their actions.

As I delved deeper into the case, I found myself grappling with more than just the mystery at hand – personal issues surfaced too. What truly struck me to my core was uncovering parts of my past that I hadn’t known before. You see, Raghu, who I considered my adoptive father, wasn’t only a police officer but also played a pivotal role in shaping Satya’s life. But when Raghu met an untimely end before Satya, it drove him to make a chilling vow: to take the lives of every religious figure.

In the end, Brinda comes to understand that Satya, who orchestrated all the murders, is none other than her brother Anand. When he intends to slaughter a group performing a river ritual, Brinda confronts him. She reveals her identity as Chinni and tries to persuade him to abandon his plan. However, Satya remains defiant and unwilling to comply. Consequently, Brinda is forced to shoot her own brother, taking his life.
