Failure Frame episode 5 recap

In Episode 5 of Failure Frame, Mimori uncovers that Mist is actually Seras Ashrain. At first, Mist feigns ignorance, but eventually, Mimori reveals this information. Together they venture deeper into the dungeon where they encounter the Skeleton King. Despite Seras cautioning Mimori about the beast’s perils, she swiftly dispatches it with ease. Upon reaching the surface, Seras leaves to collect her reward, while Mimori remains behind.

The following day, Seras sets out to claim her prize, whereupon she and Mimori arrange a later reunion. In the interim, Visces proposes Sugou join Kirihara’s team, but she declines, citing incompatibility. Visces subsequently assigns her to train the students who failed the test, and she consents with reservations. Meanwhile, Mimori learns that Seras’ true identity has been exposed, causing her to flee into the woods.

Simultaneously, Seras engages Gizun, a high-ranking member of the Black Knights. She finds it tough to subdue him because her spirit armor isn’t functional. But luckily, Mimori shows up at the nick of time to assist her. The episode concludes with Mimori rewarding her with dragon stones and requesting her to disrobe.
