The director posted on Instagram two photos taken at the Kathanar movie set, featuring him, the actress, and his crew. According to sources, the story of Kathanar centers around the life of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a famous 9th-century priest known for his magical abilities. Jayasurya portrays the main character in this film.

At first, Rojin Thomas collaborated with Vijay Babu from Friday Film House for the production of the film, a team they had previously worked together on Phillips and the Monkey Pen, and Home. However, later on, the responsibility of producing the movie shifted to Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movie.

It’s been announced that the creators intend to unveil the horror-thriller movie in various dialects including Malayalam, English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, and several other languages as well.
