As a seasoned gamer and mystery-solver, I must say that “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” has got me hooked! The suspense is palpable, and each episode leaves me on the edge of my seat, eager for more. It’s like playing a real-life detective game, with clues hidden in plain sight and characters that keep me guessing.
At the conclusion of the first installment of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”, character Pippa (Emma Myers) is now fully committed to exonerating Sal (Rahul Pattni) and identifying the true culprit behind Andie Bell’s (India Lillie Davies) murder. To accomplish this, she plans on speaking with everyone who was close to Andie and Sal and re-examining the events surrounding the night that Andie vanished.
Episode 2 of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” opens as Pip questions Emma, Andie’s closest confidante, about her relationship with Sal. However, Emma deceives Pip by claiming that Andie and Sal had a heated argument. She advises Pip to avoid contacting her in the future.
In the afternoon, Ravi and Pip decide to take a stroll while deliberating on the ongoing case. Despite multiple attempts, Pip hasn’t been able to reach Jessica Webber, Nat Da Silva, one of Andie’s friends who remains unresponsive to her messages. They also discussed Sal, with Ravi expressing his fondness for discussing his brother.
After reconciling, Asha Banks’ character, Cara, insists that Pip keeps Naomi Yasmin Al-Khudhairi out of their issues moving forward.
Pip watches Nat Da Silva playing tennis against Cara (or someone). Nat loses and freaks out. Pip follows her to the locker room and questions her about Andie and Sal. Nat reveals that Andie started sleeping with someone knew around the time of her death. Pip tries to get more information, but Nat tells Pip that she is digging up something big and warns her to be careful.
Following the game, Pip finds herself being trailed on her way home by someone, possibly Nat’s partner. This is the same individual who interacted with Pip at the party and issued a warning to her. Fortunately, no untoward incidents occur, but the situation definitely feels suspicious.
In due course, Pip embarks on a forest walk accompanied by Ravi. In an attempt to gather information, they disguise themselves and quiz Emma, the girl who had previously ignored Pip. Through some text exchanges, they discover that there was indeed a secretive older man whom Andie was dating. They ponder over this potential partner, suspecting that he could be the reason behind Andie’s murder, or even the one who took Sal’s life as well.
On that particular night, Pip joins Cara, Zach (also known as Raiko Gohara), Connor (Jude Morgan-Collie), and Lauren (Yali Topol Morgalith) for a camping trip. They spend the time enjoying themselves, swimming, socializing with drinks, sharing ghost stories, and engaging in various activities. They attempt to reach out to Andie beyond the grave before embarking on a short walk through the woods. As darkness falls, they notice someone lurking around their campsite. Pip gives chase, but she trips over something in the dark and the unknown figure vanishes into the forest.
Lauren is positive that the incident involved a serial killer. On the other hand, Pip suspects it was merely a lost hiker, but she finds the whole situation strange. That evening, she settles into her sleeping bag and discovers a note meant for her. The message reads “CEASE YOUR INVESTIGATIONS, PIPPA.” Oh dear. It appears someone is aware of her actions, and as Nat had predicted, things are starting to become risky.
Following Cara’s home drop-off, Pippa notices Max (Henry Ashton) arguing with Naomi inside his vehicle. What might be the cause of this commotion?
At my place, I stumbled upon another note left behind. With no one else at home, I thankfully found it was a message from my mom informing me she’s shopping. After getting the menacing letter earlier, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of unease wash over me.
1. Pippa adds Nat to her list of potential suspects since she recalls that Nat had used the term “digging” in her caution to Pippa. Upon examining her photos, she identifies the man from the party who was with Nat as Nat’s brother, Officer Dan da Silva (Jackson Bews). Ravi visits, and Pippa discusses her recent findings; Ravi recognizes him from their previous investigation.
Through Instagram, Ravi notices that Nat seems to have disappeared from Andie’s photos following the incident when Nat’s private photographs were circulated at school. Pippa proposes a hypothesis suggesting that it was Andie who leaked Nat’s nude images.
Later on, posing as Emma, I managed to lure Nat into meeting up. When she arrived, I grilled her about Andie’s compromising photos being shared. At first, Nat seemed evasive and tried to leave, but eventually admitted that Andie had gotten mixed up with a shady character named Max Hastings. This was the same guy who had deceived Pippa earlier by denying any contact with Andie whatsoever.
1. Subsequently, Pippa visits Max Hasting’s residence. She stealthily explores his bedroom and discovers a photograph of Andie wearing lingerie, an unusual item to possess for someone who has never interacted with Andie. However, she is found by Max. He confesses that Andie was a dealer for parties known as “Calamity Parties,” which he reveals were common in high school, and Andie was involved in them until her demise.
In the end of the episode, Pippa queries about locating the individual from whom she had been obtaining drugs, which is the question that concludes the story.
Coming up next is the third installment of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”! The entire first season, consisting of all six episodes, can be streamed immediately.
