Bloodborne community’s hopes for a remaster lie in the hands of…Kai Cenat?

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and skepticism when it comes to Kai Cenat’s upcoming Bloodborne marathon. On one hand, his Elden Ring stream was nothing short of a phenomenon, revitalizing interest in the game and FromSoftware as a whole. On the other, I’ve been waiting for a Bloodborne remaster since the last time I spilled my soul (or rather, blood) in Yharnam, and that was quite some time ago.

For years now, enthusiasts of the Bloodborne game, created by FromSoftware, have been eagerly asking for an updated version of this spine-tingling hit that resembles the Soulslike genre. Regrettably, so far, there has been no indication from the developers about bringing a revitalized Yharnam to modern consoles, leaving many dedicated players feeling frustrated. However, a potential shift may be on the horizon following Kai Cenat’s announcement of his plans for a continuous Bloodborne stream, mirroring his extended Elden Ring marathon.

In summary, Cenat’s previous live streams of Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree attracted a large audience. Specifically, his initial exploration of the Lands Between on Stream Hatchet from May 13 to 19 drew an average of 96,400 viewers per day. This popular playthrough sparked renewed interest and admiration not just for Elden Ring, but also for other games developed by FromSoftware.

Of course, it may be farfetched to think that a Bloodborne livestream, no matter how influential, would be enough to sway FromSoftware into releasing a remaster that it has yet to mention. But there’s always a chance that the sudden boost in popularity the upcoming marathon would likely provide may be enough for the developers to take notice of the community’s wishes. For now, though, only time will tell if Cenat’s upcoming streaming event can help the community’s push for a current-gen Bloodborne port.

While I eagerly await for our next gaming session together, here’s a little something to keep you engaged if you haven’t completed your own journey through Yharnam just yet.
