On August 1, 2014, Red Velvet entered the K-pop scene with their popular song “Happiness,” showcasing its four initial members: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. Later in 2015, the group was completed with the addition of member Yeri.

Red Velvet’s latest track titled “Sweet Dreams” is set to debut on August 1 at 6 PM Korean Standard Time (KST) in South Korea. In the U.S., it will be released on August 1 at 5 AM Eastern Time (ET) and 2 AM Pacific Time (PT). For our friends in the UK, it’s scheduled for 10 AM British Summer Time (BST), and for those in India, you can listen to it at 2:30 PM.
According to SM Entertainment, “Sweet Dreams” is a mid-tempo song with an upbeat tune that incorporates half-riffs using the arpeggio technique. This song has been designed as a heartfelt thank you to Red Velvet’s fans who have supported the group for ten years. The mellow vocals of the upcoming track can be perceived as a lullaby, offering a warm goodnight to ReVeluvs (Red Velvet’s fan community).

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hit song “Sweet Dreams,” the K-pop girl group has planned a series of special concerts. These fan meetings will kick off in South Korea this year.

More recently, on June 24, 2024, Red Velvet dropped their EP named Cosmic. This EP, consisting of six tracks, sold an impressive 203,000 copies within its first week. It managed to secure the third spot on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart.
